Patrick Sims
Principal Engineer
Mr. Sims is a Subject Matter Expert for Fiber-to-the-Home Infrastructures, Systems, and Networks. In his current assignment, he is responsible for project management and operations of network design and systems integration for ADC's OmniReach fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) solutions. He is also FTTx resident expert for both the active and passive FTTH components, as well as their FTTH Council Liaison.
Mr. Sims has 25-year of fiber optics experience. Mr. Sims assisted in the FTTH designs for Bristol Virginia Utilities, the FTTH design of 1,100 Bristol-area businesses, the OSP Design of the Daniel Island, SC, a 1,200 home community, and the City of Daytona Beach LPGA FTTH Development.
Pat was instrumental in the initial formation of the North American FTTH Council in 2001, was the past chairman for the 2005 FTTH Council Conference and Exhibition, and is currently an industry consultant to both equipment manufacturers and service providers alike in the FTTH industry.
Mr. Sims is a Certified PON Designer and an RCDD. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida A&M University, and has an MBA from the University of Florida.
