Gimme Fiber Day
Annually on November 4th, the five FTTH Councils will celebrate Gimme Fiber Day, an annual event created to showcase how fiber has positively impacted communities across the world and what policymakers around the globe can do to help advance the roll-out and take-up of fiber optics.
The date for the annual celebration of fiber optics was selected as it corresponds with the birthday of the man who changed the way the world communicates, Professor Charles Kao.
You may celebrate Gimme Fiber Day in any manner, and we hope you do! Use this logo to promote the day and your celebration.
Fiber to the Home Community
Communities across the Americas are discovering that their future economic development and quality of life is becoming ever more dependent on the speed of the networks that their citizens can access. When your community has fiber-enabled businesses and homes, let others know with the image below and watch your community grow. Post along a well-traveled street, website or flyers.

Click Here to Download the FTTH Primer, published by Broadband Communities.
Created originally for network builders, the Primer is a 32-page publication packed with information. It is ideal for distributing at meetings and mailing out in educational packets. Its illustrations, charts, graphs and articles all enable readers to quickly grasp the multiple layers of information needed to arrive at the conclusion that fiber is really the best solution for a community. It’s based on facts and accepted definitions, and so provides a common frame of reference allowing everyone to get on the same page.
To order bulk copies of the Primer from FTTH Council, please contact Carol Brunner at email@example.com with your requested order and shipping address.
